You are having some of your closest friends and family over for dinner this weekend. However, you have no idea what you are going to serve them!
- Step One: Plan
- Please use the menu planner to start thinking about food you may want to serve. This will be graded as process work.
- What is the theme of my dinner party? For example: a Mexican Fiesta!
- What Main Dishes are you going to serve? For example: tacos, quesadillas
- What Side Dishes are you going to serve? For example: nachos, salsa, and guacamole, bean salad
- What Desserts are you going to serve? For example: fruit salad, churros, ice cream
- What substitutions can I offer my guests if they are allergic or they don't like something? For example: lactose free cheese, beyond meat alternative, gluten free tortillas
Step 2: Create a menu!
Your menu must have:
- 3 Main Dishes
- 2 Side Dishes
- 3 Desserts
You MUST:
- Create an interesting name for each dish. Your dish name should include adjectives.
- Use parenthesis to describe what food items are in each dish.
- Be creative! Add pictures, drawings, and colour to make your menu stand out.
Look to the Teacher's example for an idea of how to get started.
