Unit 4: Canadian Short Stories (24 Hours)
(1) Students will successfully read several level- appropriate Canadian short- stories
(2) Students will be able to understand the key elements of a short story (characterization , theme, plot, structure, setting, voice, literary devices)
(3) Students will be able to interpret different types of genres and literary styles
(4) Students will acquire the vocabulary and grammar skills necessary for discussing and interpreting literary styles
(5) Students will develop the skills to incorporate good storytelling components in their own writing
Students to complete this after you've finished all activities/tasks in today's lesson.
