Now you learn about the six different leadership style.
The class will be randomly organised into groups of 2. In your group, you will be given a scenario. Discuss with your groupmate and choose 2 leadership style that you think is suitable to be applied in the scenario. Each groupmate will be responsible for one of the 2 leadership style you group choose.
Post three actions that you plan to do with your followers according to your chosen leadership style in the forum below. DO NOT disclose which leadership style that you are using. Other classmates have to guess which leadership style that you are using.
Scenario 1: You are the manager of a 12-member idol group which is very famous around the world. You are going to organise a world tour of concert and you have to discuss with the idol group member about the rundown and song list of the concert. Each member has different talent, some are better in singing while some are better in dancing. Some are more eager to have solo performance while some prefer group performances. The group members have different views but they are not in a crisis of conflict yet.
Scenario 2: You are a senior accountant in an accounting firm. Your boss asks you to supervise a group of interns from a nearby university, who wish to earn some workplace experiences before they graduate from university. Those interns have no prior work experience in accounting, and do not know about the workplace atmosphere of an accounting firm. They seems confused about how to start working and discouraged about the long and intense working hour that they are going to face.
Scenario 3: You are the president of a student council in a university club. You and your council members recruit a number of volunteers to help organise an orientation camp for the freshmen entering the university this year. However, your work progress is seriously delayed and the volunteers seems too playful to work on organising the camp seriously, as most of them were participants last year and they just wish to enjoy another round of camp without working hard. The orientation camp starts in 2 weeks.
