      Discuss: How similar is Nora’s life with Torvald to some of the characters you read about in The House on Mango Street?

      Research online the solo dance that Nora will perform at the party. It is called the Tarantella, a dance from Italy. Look at a video demonstration of the dance. What do you think is the dramatic significance of Nora dressing up and performing the Tarantella for Torvald? 

      Dr. Rank will also be attending the party. Based on the feelings he has confessed to Nora in Act 2, how do you think he will react as he watches Nora dance the Tarantella.
