Write the letter (75-100 words) that you think Krogstad writes to Torvald. In the letter include a few sentences in which Krogstad demands to keep his job at the bank.

Answer the following questions in a few sentences:
- What type of irony is in Helmer’s line to Nora: “You are dancing as if your life depended on it.” Why is this line of dialogue ironic?
- When Nora asks Helen for a few macaroons “Lots, just for once” what does that indicate about her character at this moment in the play?
- What does Helmer mean when he tells Nora, “You have forgotten everything I taught you.”?
- There is irony in Helmer’s line “You have forgotten everything I taught you.” Is it verbal, situational, dramatic or a combination of one or more?
ACT II ends with two interesting understatements:
- Nora (to Mrs. Linde) “Oh, you wouldn’t understand.”
- Nora (to herself) “Thirty-one hours to live.”
What do you understand these lines to mean?
