Re-Read the short story Lather and Nothing Else by Hernando Tellez (in UNIT #2 RESOURCE FOLDER)
Then in point form using Freytag’s Structure list the stages of the plot from the opening Exposition to the final Denouement/Conclusion. Save this as PDF and post it on Moodle.
Read The Story of An Hour by Kate Chopin. (It is attached below and is 1015 words long)
Come to class on next Monday prepared to make a 2 minute Oral Presentation about the plot development (Freytag's Pyramid structure) and define five (5) traits adjectives that describe the protagonist's character. A list of traits can be downloaded along with the story
Write down the Plot development as a list - and also list the 5 adjectives you feel best describe the protagonist. YOU WILL SHARE THAT DOCUMENT WITH THE CLASS as you make your oral presentation using this as your presentation notes. DO NOT WRITE A SPEECH!
THIS WILL BE GRADED 'OF LEARNING' FOR 5 MARKS
Let's discuss where the INCITING INCIDENT and the CLIMAX can be found in Lather and Nothing Else
