- Characteristics of Land Use in Canada.
Success Criteria: By the end of this lesson you will be able to
- learn how to make your community sustainable
- Identify and inquire how current land use will affect the future
- Identify the land use in your own surroundings and the factors affecting it
- Look at what areas you engage in (recreational areas, public buildings, etc.) in terms of land use.
- 1) Explain the land use difference in developed countries versus underdeveloped countries. Talk about roads, residential areas, commercial, industrial, transportation, etc.
2) How might different areas utilize land in different ways? For example, in Alberta, land might be prioritized towards agricultural use. Students to complete this after you've finished all activities/tasks in today's lesson.
