Unit 1 - Developing Personal Skills, Strategies and Goals; 17 Hrs
Unit Description:
Students
will develop personal skills, strategies and habits that are needed to succeed
in school, life and work. Students will identify and develop skills and
strategies for managing stress and achieving a healthy lifestyle, while
learning to apply decision-making strategies that will help to bring them personal,
school and work success. Students will reflect on their progress in these
areas.
Learning Goal:
Students will create their personal goals for school, friends, and work. Students will identify ways to manage stress and build resilience into their lives. Students will take steps to incorporate a healthy lifestyle that balances life, work and school. Students will develop their decision-making skills and will evaluate and revise their career and life goals. Students will reflect and document their goals and comment on the effectiveness of their plans and goals.
