Learning Goals: By the end of this lesson you will be able to
- apply knowledge, thinking, communication and application skills to the University/College application process by completing an oral and visual presentation on your top university choice
- show understanding and personalization of the university/college application process by showing how the school/program selected reflects your true educational pursuits, career ambitions, networking and transferable skills
- learn about the importance of creating a resume with your educational and work experience and ambitions
Success Criteria: By the end of this lesson you will be able to
- use the research and inquiry process to create an attractive and personal oral and visual presentation detailing your chosen university/college path
- demonstrate analysis of your networking and transferable skills, future challenges etc.
- begin drafting your educational and work resume, showcasing your education and skills
- Examine the resources on Resume Building. Then answer the following questions. - 1. Have you ever worked before and received payment? Explain. - 2. Do you want to find a part time job while you are at school, or will you wait until you finish school? - 3. Have you ever created your own resume before? Explain. - 4. What do you think the benefits of creating a resume would be for you now? Explain your thinking. - **100 words; Respond to 3 classmates' postings; Answer below in Moodle.
