Unit Description
This Unit will cover government in Canada and the rights and responsibilities of its citizens. Students will explore the systems and levels of government, political spectrum and parties, legal issues and the policies and documents protecting human rights.
Learning Goal:
- Students will use the research and inquiry method to locate background information on the role and function of government in Canada, political spectrum and parties and the procedure for protecting human rights.
- Students will compare these practices and policies to their home government and reflect on the differences
