Unit Description:
Students will look at real world applications of the healthcare knowledge they’ve learned, such as healthcare trends, the environment, healthcare careers, and health and safety laws.
Learning Goals:
- Demonstrate an understanding of environmental issues related to health care and personal well-being.
- Describe social trends and health care issues relating to children and adolescents.
- Identify and apply health and safety legislation and safe working practices relating to the healthcare industry.
- Identify and describe career opportunities in health care and the postsecondary education and training required for entry into these occupations.
