Read the first half of Act 3 Scene 4 up to line 40 – One murderer reports to Macbeth that Banquo is dead and Fleance escapes. As Macbeth goes to sit at the banquet table Banquo’s Ghost enters the banquet hall.
Then, answer the following comprehension questions from the Quiz.
Read the remaining part of Scene 4.
Macbeth loses control and almost reveals that he is responsible for Banquo’s murder -- Lady Macbeth tries to cover for him and gets rid of the guests -- Macbeth reveals he will see the witches again, and he realizes that he can't turn back, he can only go forward.
