- know the 3 main functions of a circulatory system
- describe the differences between open and closed circulatory systems, and give examples of organisms with each type of system
- know the difference between pulomary and systemic
- Know the structure of the heart and be able to identify the following in a diagram of the human heart: right & left atria, right & left ventricles, aorta, superior & inferior vena cava, pulmonary arteries, and pulmonary veins
- describe the flow of blood between the lungs & the heart, and the rest of the body & the heart
- Understand how the heart beat is created and measured
