    Unit Description:
    Students will look at real world applications of the healthcare knowledge they’ve learned, such as healthcare trends, the environment, healthcare careers, and health and safety laws.

    Learning Goals:

    1. Demonstrate an understanding of environmental issues related to health care and personal well-being.
    2. Describe social trends and health care issues relating to children and adolescents.
    3. Identify and apply health and safety legislation and safe working practices relating to the healthcare industry.
    4. Identify and describe career opportunities in health care and the postsecondary education and training required for entry into these occupations.
