• Lesson 3.4 - Chemical Kinetics

    Learning Goals:

    1. I will be able to describe the general concepts of the collision theory for chemical reactions.
    2. I will be able to draw and interpret potential-energy diagrams for chemical reactions.
    3. I will be able to describe how various factors (nature of reactants, temperature, concentration, surface area, catalysts) affect the rate of a chemical reaction, and apply the collision theory to explain these effects.
    4. I will be able to understand reaction mechanisms.

    Specific Expectations:

    NELSON Text Reference: Section 6.2, 6.3, 6.6
