Let's face it. Lady Macbeth is a great character, but she'll never go down in history as a model for womanhood. How do you see Lady Macbeth? Is she purely evil? Is she just greedy and ambitious? Is she ruthless? Does she just want to see her husband become famous? Does she have any sense of humor?
Your homework is to choose one of the two assignments to complete:
(Hint: Whichever assignment you choose, base your visual representation of Lady Macbeth on the questions that were posed above.)
- If you have any talent as an artist, create a line drawing that shows us how you think she would appear if her true nature character were revealed in her face and body.
- If you choose not to draw Lady Macbeth, create a small collage with images copied and pasted together from an Internet search of what you think is going on in Lady Macbeth’s mind.
