Activity 1.2.3 – Mock Interview

Make a submission

In this activity you are going to respond orally to a number of written questions. Record your oral response to each question with an answer that is about one minute long. 

For each answer use one of the four figurative language devices described and illustrated in the previous lecture (i.e Simile, Metaphor, Allusion, Imagery). 

Don’t repeat the device, but use examples of all four over the course of your four minute interview.

Your four (4) mock interview questions are:

  1. If you won an all-expenses-paid vacation, where would you choose to go and why?
  2. When you travel, what are some of your goals and favourite things to do?
  3. Do you prefer to travel alone or with one or more companions? Why?
  4. Do you agree with some students that taking a year away from school studies can be beneficial to your learning?

Submission: (teacher to choose one of the following options)

  •  You will have a one-to-one interview with your teacher/classmate & upload your script to Moodle in PDF format.

  • Upload your response as video/audio to Moodle
