Group Assignment: "My trip to..."

Opened: Sunday, 1 October 2023, 9:00 PM
Due: Sunday, 8 October 2023, 12:50 AM

You will be working in groups of two or three for this assignment.

The assignment: You and your friends have decided to go on a month long trip to a different country. You are all aware of the "Culture Shock phenomenon", so you want to plan your trip and be prepared so that you are comfortable with your stay in this country.

Step 1: As a group, decide upon a country that you all want to visit.

Step 2: Research your country and the experiences that it has to offer.

Step 3: Come up with a list of unique experiences that you and your friends might want to try. For example, climbing or skiing down a mountain, downtown shopping, or sunbathing on a hot beach. These unique experiences can range from activities, food, places to stay, etc.

Step 4: Come up with a list of potential problems with these new experiences. Can someone get food poisoning? Did you dress appropriately for the weather? Is someone in your group scared of heights? How can you plan for these problems, and what are some solutions if these problems occur?

Step 5: You are all starting to feel homesick. What are some ways your group can battle this feeling?

**You are each responsible for contributing to this assignment, and everyone should have a speaking role. You may choose to share a PowerPoint presentation, include many images, or a written paragraph document. Be prepared to speak in front of the class.

Before your speaking presentation, please submit your written paragraph document, PowerPoint, or images to Moodle.
