Listening to an Information Text
You have just read an informational text on the history of chocolate. Now you will view the same topic, but in another format- a video.
Think about how the same topic is presented in similar ad different ways. How does the format of a text affect what and how information is presented?

Instructions: Watch the video " The History of Chocolate". Pay attention to the images as well as the words in the video.
Step 1 Take notes as you watch the video, and document at least 5 important facts about the history of chocolate.
Part 2 Divide the information into at least 2 different sections.
Part 3 Write a 2 - 3 paragraph information text using your own words and your notes, that describes the history of chocolate. Your paragraphs may be short ( 2- 3 sentences )
Part 4 Give each paragraph a title
Part 5 - Reflect - Which text was more informative- the video or the written text? Why?
Submission Format: PDF (include your name, date and assignment title); Double spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt font.
