Assessment of Learning Part 1 - Conversation

Please post your notes for your Conversation Assessment here. 

Remember to speak clearly, and to use your notes to help you answer your teacher's questions. Don't worry if you don't know all the answers. Be confident!


Instructions for Part 1 - Conversation     


When you meet with your teacher, please have a document with the following

  • Your WH questions and answers
  • The topic for each paragraph ( at least 3)
  • At least 2 images that you may  use in your article
  • Your citation list (MLA or APA)

Bonus Marks- a short paraphrase of the information found in each source ( website or article) 

You will be asked to talk about the following:

  1. The main ideas that you want to present in your article and why you believe that they are important to the topic
  2. How and why you chose your sources
  3. The organizational pattern that you plan to use
  4. What you want the article to look like
  5. Any difficulties that you are having finding or writing your information
  6. What you plan to do to complete this assignment.


Your conversation will be graded using the following rubric


Knowledge 

Student shows  understanding of the assignment

Student has properly created citations

Thinking / Inquiry

Student has chosen meaningful information for writing tasks

Student is able to explain the information presented

Student demonstrates organization of ideas, and a high degree of planning skills;

Student responds to questions appropriately -

Communication

Student speaks to teacher using  correct grammar , proper sentence construction, pronunciation and intonation; 

Student engages effectively using verbal and non-verbal communication skills 

Application

Student expresses the ability and planning of using writing techniques accurately and effectively.
