- Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPPs): These people are elected to represent and serve the voters in their ridings. They are almost always members of a political party. They usually follow the instructions of their party leader when they vote in the legislature. If their party forms the government, they will support government policy.
- Speaker of the House (provincial - Ontario) - also, name the current one: The speaker of the house is a member of the legislature who is elected by his or her peers by secret ballot. - Premier - also, name the one: The premier is usually the leader of the political party that has the most seats in the legislature. Doug Ford.
- Cabinet Ministers: Ministers are usually chosen from members of the legislature of the premier's own party.
- Leader of the Official Opposition - also, name the current one: The leader of the official opposition is usually the leader of the second-largest party in the legislature. This person is responsible for criticizing and putting forward alternatives to government policy. Marit Stiles
- Shadow Cabinet: The leader of the official opposition selects the shadow cabinet. Its job is to "shadow" the cabinet by criticizing government policy.
