The setting and perspective of this film play a big role in creating suspense. The story takes place in the dark streets of London's old town, making everything seem mysterious and a little bit eerie. The diamond at the center of the story sparkles in the shadows, showing that it is both dangerous and tempting.

The film mainly follows Holmes as he investigates, but we don't know what exactly he is thinking. This keeps me guessing and paying close attention to the small details he notices. Because I see things through Holmes' eyes but don't know all his thoughts, I feel like I'm solving the mystery with him. The foggy background and the way the story is told make this film more thrilling and full of suspense.
