How do you plan to collect your data? (60-120 words)
AIIIY’s primary data collection will come from user interactions within the app, including fashion designers uploading their creations, customers purchasing, and engagement metrics (likes, shares, and comments). And our app also integrates social media, so the user's preference records on social media will also be one of the record sources. In addition, we will conduct surveys and feedback forms to better understand customer preferences and emerging fashion trends. AI-driven analytics will track user behavior and make personalized fashion recommendations. We will also use external resources such as collaborations with designers and fashion retailers to gain a better understanding of the market.

Do you intend to use public datasets for your business analysis and planning? If so, what types of public datasets are you interested in? (100-200 words)
I’m planning to use public data to dive into the history of fashion brands, designs, and styles. I’ll focus on tracking major fashion houses like Chanel and Gucci—how they started, key milestones, and how they evolved over time. I’ll also look into iconic fashion designs and collections that changed the game, like Dior’s “New Look” or McQueen’s avant-garde pieces. It’s fascinating to see how designers influence trends and push boundaries with their creative work.

Another big part of my project will be the evolution of fashion styles, from flapper dresses in the 1920s to the grunge look in the 90s. I’ll explore how culture, politics, and celebrities shape these trends. For example, how hip-hop impacted streetwear or how sustainability is influencing fashion today.

I’ll collect data from fashion archives, online fashion databases, and even social media to understand the trends better. To present my findings, I’ll use charts, timelines, and maybe even interactive tools like Tableau or Python to show how fashion has changed over time.

Overall, this project will give me a deeper understanding of fashion’s history and its connection to culture, politics, and society. It’ll be fun to connect all the dots!

Why are these particular datasets valuable to your business? (100-200 words)
By analyzing how major fashion houses like Chanel and Gucci evolved over time, AIIIY can provide valuable insights to independent designers on building their own brands. Studying key milestones and iconic collections helps identify patterns in successful fashion movements, which can be used to predict future trends and shape the platform’s recommendation algorithms.
By examining how culture, politics, and celebrities influence fashion trends, AIIIY can tailor marketing campaigns and collaborations to resonate with modern audiences. For example, understanding how hip-hop shaped streetwear or how sustainability is impacting fashion today enables AIIIY to support designers who align with these movements.
Collecting data from fashion archives, online databases, and social media enhances AIIIY’s ability to offer trend-driven content. Using tools like Tableau or Python for visualizing this data can improve decision-making, from curating featured collections to recommending styles based on historical influences.

Where will your data be stored? (60-120 words)
Our data will be stored securely in the cloud, using trusted providers like AWS or Google Cloud. These platforms offer strong security measures, encryption, and redundancy to keep everything safe. User data like fashion designs, purchase records, and engagement metrics will be stored in secure databases with strict access controls to protect privacy. AI analytics and user behavior data will also be processed in the cloud, allowing us to deliver personalized recommendations. We'll make sure to back everything up regularly and manage access carefully to keep the data secure and compliant with privacy regulations.
