There was a frog who lived in a well for a long time. Around him were only a few small frogs, crabs, and snails. Looking up from the bottom of the well, the frog could only see a small patch of sky the size of a lid. He thought: The entire universe is just like that, so the frog considered himself the lord. Every day, he croaked loudly, making the whole well vibrate, scaring the other animals. The frog thought the sky above his head was only as small as a lid, and he was as majestic as a lord.
One year, it rained heavily, causing the water in the well to swell, overflowing the banks, and carrying the frog out.
Getting used to his old habit, the frog looked up at the sky, and suddenly he saw a sky much larger than the patch of sky he had always seen. The frog did not believe it and felt annoyed by that. To show off, he croaked loudly. The lord hoped that after his croaking, everything would return to normal. But the sky is still the sky. The frog was so busy looking up at the sky that he didn't pay attention to his surroundings and was trampled by a passing buffalo.
