.Echo is a mountain nymph in Greek mythology who loved to talk. Hera disliked her because Echo distracted her with long conversations, which allowed Zeus to spend time with other nymphs without Hera catching him.

.Hera cursed Echo so that she could no longer speak freely. Instead, she was only able to repeat the last words that other people said to her.

.Narcissus was a handsome young man who rejected everyone who loved him. One day, he saw his own reflection in a pool of water and became so entranced by it that he could not leave. In the end, he wasted away and died, and in his place a flower, the narcissus, grew.

.When I look in the mirror, some of the things that go through my head are thoughts about how I look, how I am feeling that day, and sometimes even whether I look different from how I expected. I might also reflect on changes in myself over time.

.Yes, people sometimes call others narcissists. Being a narcissist usually means being overly self-centered, selfish, or in love with one’s own appearance and importance. This relates to the myth because Narcissus cared only about himself and ignored everyone else, which led to his downfall.
