I have selected the poem "I look at the world" by Langston Hughes because it speaks to me on a deep level about changing how you see things. The feeling trapped and limited, he said it like when you're scared or others are telling you what to do. It was like my life was planned out.

Then something really clicks, as you see the world like it's full of possibilities. When Hughes says he's looking with awakened eyes, it's like he just realized something in his life. Same here, I also went through that too, and now I'm trying to see my life differently.

The poem says the world's ripe for my hand, which kinda hits home for me because it's easy to wait for things to change but we gotta make it happens. So he means it's all about being proactive, taking the furture seriously and making the difference in my community. I thought that i was too small to matter, but this poem says maybe i was not, it shows it's just a mental block.

Seeing silly walls makes these barriers feel less hard and scary, just like they can be pushed aside. It's all about the perspective. Hughes says, and I agree that how you look at the world is how it'll be. So at the end of the day, I choose to live life on my terms.
