Canadian citizens have the obligation to respect and obey the laws of Canada, including obeying traffic laws, paying taxes, etc. Second, Canadian citizens should actively participate in social and political life, exercise their right to vote and respect the political beliefs of others. In addition, Canadian citizens should take the initiative to contribute to society, such as participating in public welfare activities, volunteer services, etc., to promote social harmony and development. Finally, Canadian citizens should protect their country, respect Canada's multiculturalism, live in harmony with people of different cultural backgrounds, and jointly build an inclusive and harmonious society. In short, the duties and responsibilities of Canadian citizenship reflect a sense of responsibility to society and loyalty to the country.

Canadian citizens can vote in elections. And participating in elections is a basic right and responsibility of every citizen. In Canada, federal, provincial and local governments hold elections regularly, and citizens can choose their own government representatives through voting. Participating in political activities, civic education and advocacy, participating in public consultations and decision-making, volunteering, using legal means, media and social platforms, and educating and engaging the next generation for progress.
