verb 

To blur is to make or become unfocused and fuzzy. Crying hard can cause your vision to blur until you wipe your tears away.

gauze

noun
 (medicine) bleached cotton cloth of plain weave used for bandages and dressings

gruesome

adjective
 shockingly repellent; inspiring horror

hideous

adjective 

Hideous is a word that means extremely ugly. Anything or anybody that is painful — and a little scary — to look at is hideous.

horizon

noun
 the line at which the sky and Earth appear to meet

indescribable

adjective
 defying expression or description
“indescribable beauty”

Infer

verb

When you infer something, you read between the lines. To infer is to make a well-informed guess — if you see your mom’s bag on the table, you might infer that she’s home.

jagged

adjective

Something is jagged when it has an uneven edge or quality to it. Teeth can be jagged, saw blades can be jagged, and the edges of leaves can be jagged.

mangled

adjective

Something that's mangled is damaged or even ruined from being crushed, torn, or sliced. Your recycling bin will be full of mangled soda cans if you stomp on them with your work boots before tossing them in.

 an overwhelming feeling of fear and anxiety

 showing the possibility of achievement or excellence

resilience

noun: the ability to recover readily f4rom adversity or change

seize

  1. verb
     take hold of; grab
    “The mother seized her child by the arm”

stalk

verb
 watch, follow, or harass someone in an obsessive way

tug

verb

To tug is to forcefully pull or drag something. You might need your sister's help to tug your knee-high boots off at the end of a long day

unmistakable

adjective
 clearly evident to the mind
“his opposition to slavery was unmistakable”

wince

verb
 make a face indicating disgust or dislike


wound

noun
A wound is a serious injury, especially a deep cut through the skin. But things like pride and feelings can also get wounded.
