1. Members of Parliament (MPs):

   MPs are people elected by voters to represent them in the House of Commons. They discuss and vote on laws and issues.

2. Speaker of the House:

   The Speaker runs meetings in the House of Commons, making sure discussions are orderly and fair. The current Speaker is Greg Fergus.

3. Prime Minister:

   The Prime Minister is the leader of the government, in charge of running the country and making important decisions. The current Prime Minister is Justin Trudeau.

4. Cabinet Ministers:

   Cabinet Ministers are chosen by the Prime Minister to be in charge of different government departments, like health or education. They help make and carry out policies.

5. Leader of the Official Opposition:

   This person leads the main party that is not in power and challenges the government’s decisions. The current Leader of the Official Opposition is Pierre Poilievre.

6. Shadow Cabinet:

   The Shadow Cabinet is made up of opposition members who watch over the work of the government ministers and suggest alternatives. They focus on specific areas, like health or finance, just like the real ministers.
