Lecture Overview
Poetic Themes vary widely. They span a wide range: gender equality, coming of age, social commentary on war and violence. There are as many messages in poems as there are people on the planet.
There are lots of poets writing about love and sadness but in the next lessons the class will focus on poets that take society and their social responsibilities seriously.
