            Lecture Overview
Visualizing plays a crucial role in enhancing reading comprehension and engagement.
What is Visualizing?
When we read, our brains don't just process words in isolation; they actively construct mental images and representations of the content being read.
Sometimes the text provides visuals for us - as in the case of many videos and textbooks. These visuals make it easier for us to connect with what we are reading.
When we visualize, we form a mental picture in our brain of what's being described. We often use our 5 senses - sight, sound, smell, touch and taste. For many people, this is an important technique that makes reading easier!
