- Preparation and Practice are the best antidotes
- Imagine the audience being filled with family and close friends.
- Observe the audience response. Are they looking bored and distracted or confused? Maybe you’re speaking too quickly. Not making eye contact. Not using strategies that will make them active listeners.
- How can you incorporated a variety of examples to make your speech more effective?
- Can you add humour to make the audience laugh and automatically interested and liking you?
- Are your transitions between points smooth, logical and well thought out?
