Lecture Overview
Before you begin reading or viewing a text, you may make predictions about what you are about to see. This is another strategy that good readers use to prepare themselves for their reading task. While brainstorming allows you to recall what you already know about a topic, predicting allows you to imagine what kinds of information will be presented in a text.
In today's lesson you will make predictions about the reading, based on the topic as well as a short video clip.
