Unit 2 Assignment: Newton's Law Poster

OBJECTIVE:

Choose one of Newton's Laws of Motion learned in Lesson 2.2 and create a poster that explains the law in your own words and shows a real-world example.

POSTER REQUIREMENTS

  • Size: Letter size (8.5 x 11 inches), portrait or landscape layout
  • Format: Digital (Google Slides, Canva, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Content:
    • Statement of the law
    • Explanation in your own words
    • At least one real-world example
    • Labeled diagram showing forces and motion
    • Key vocabulary
    • Neat, organized, and visually appealling design

ASSIGNMENT STAGES & ASSESSMENTS:

  1. Planning & Draft (AfL)
    • Purpose: Help you organize your ideas and get feedback before the final poster.
    • Submit the following to Newton's Law Poster: Planning & Draft (AfL) dropbox
      • A rough sketch of your poster
      • Planned real-world example
      • Notes for your explanation in your own words
      • Teacher will provide feedback on clarity, accuracy, and examples to guide improvement.
  2. Self-Assessment (AaL)
    • Purpose: Reflect on your own learning and poster development.
    • Complete Newton's Law Poster: Student Self-Assessment (AaL) before final submission.
  3. Final Poster (AoL)
    • Purpose: Show your learning and understanding of Newton's Law.
    • Submit your final poster digitally (PDF format) to Newton's Law Poster: Final (AoL) dropbox.
