Unit 2 Assignment: Newton's Law Poster
OBJECTIVE:
Choose one of Newton's Laws of Motion learned in Lesson 2.2 and create a poster that explains the law in your own words and shows a real-world example.
POSTER REQUIREMENTS
- Size: Letter size (8.5 x 11 inches), portrait or landscape layout
- Format: Digital (Google Slides, Canva, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Content:
- Statement of the law
- Explanation in your own words
- At least one real-world example
- Labeled diagram showing forces and motion
- Key vocabulary
- Neat, organized, and visually appealling design
ASSIGNMENT STAGES & ASSESSMENTS:
- Planning & Draft (AfL)
- Purpose: Help you organize your ideas and get feedback before the final poster.
- Submit the following to Newton's Law Poster: Planning & Draft (AfL) dropbox
- A rough sketch of your poster
- Planned real-world example
- Notes for your explanation in your own words
- Teacher will provide feedback on clarity, accuracy, and examples to guide improvement.
- Self-Assessment (AaL)
- Purpose: Reflect on your own learning and poster development.
- Complete Newton's Law Poster: Student Self-Assessment (AaL) before final submission.
- Final Poster (AoL)
- Purpose: Show your learning and understanding of Newton's Law.
- Submit your final poster digitally (PDF format) to Newton's Law Poster: Final (AoL) dropbox.
