Receive a grade

In this reading the American historical novelist and short story writer MacKinlay Kantoris is interviewed by his secretary and responds to 12 questions.

This writer orally communicates (dictates) his stories and the secretary copies them down. Anton Chekov often worked this way. His wife wrote down the words and Chekhov would correct the handwritten drafts and make changes. These manuscripts are in a Russian museum.

Read the first six questions and the writer’s response.

When you have read those responses, CHECK YOUR UNDERSTANDING by answering the following six (6) multiple choice questions.
