Dear Students    

Welcome to BAF3M!

This course will introduce you to the fundamental principles and procedures of accounting. You will develop financial analysis and decision-making skills that will assist you in future studies and/or career opportunities in business. You will acquire an understanding of accounting for a service and a merchandising business, computerized accounting, financial analysis, and ethics and current issues in accounting.

·        You are expected to attend ALL classes and be punctual.

·        Practice is an important part of this course. Homework and assessment must be completed on time.

·        You will have a diagnostic/ formative assessment for each unit. Summative assessments will occur regularly throughout the course. You are expected to be present for all the evaluations. If you miss an evaluation, please speak with me as soon as possible.

·        Information about tests, quizzes, presentations, case studies and assignments which are graded will be provided in advance. Evaluations will be based on Knowledge and Understanding, Thinking, Application and Communication.
