Lesson 3.4 - Rehearsal
Learning Goals: By the end of this lesson you will be able to
Select and use effective rehearsal strategies to practise and polish a presentation.Today, you will rehearse your presentation four times in class. Follow the instructions below, and then post your results here.
Rehearsal 1:
Practice your speech normally with your script.
Rehearsal 2:
Practice your speech again, but this time delete some words from your script and/or look at your script less.
Rehearsal 3:
Rehearse by yourself and record a video of yourself. Then watch your video. Write down what you did well and what you can improve.
Rehearsal 4:
Later in the class, the teacher will put you into groups. Practice in front of your group, then ask them these questions:
- Was there anything you did not understand in my presentation?
- Did I use any jargon that you don’t understand?
- Did I make good eye contact with the camera?
- What did you like and not like about my presentation skills?
- What can I do to make my presentation skills better?
