Welcome to LKBDU!  I m pleased to have you in this course. My name is Cathy Wang. Together we will be going through Simplified Mandarin related concepts and examining various differences between Chinese and English. We will also learn job-hunting and self-publicity skills like how to write resume, cover letter and how to build personal e-Portfolio.  We will also explore cross-cultural knowledge together to develop multicultural awareness. In the process, you will be developing your oral discussion and presentation, writing and literary analysis skills.  You will also be expanding your knowledge, understanding and use of vocabulary terms, figurative language and grammatical structure which will help you in your essay writing and organization process.  

You are expected to participate in all class activities.  Your opinion, ideas, experiences, culture and overall feedback are very important.  During this class, you will be using the online materials and working at your pace during the learning journey, so managing your time wisely is expected.  Look forward to your performance and witnessing your development in Chinese and English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through the LKBDU course.
