        • describe the properties of that solid; 
        • explain how physical properties of a solid or liquid depend on the particles and the types of intermolecular and intramolecular forces. 
        • define composite material, metallic crystal, electron sea theory, metallic bonding, molecular crystal, covalent network crystal, buckyball, carbon nanotube, semiconductor.
