Your teacher will put you into a breakout room with a classmate. Share your writing from the previous activity with your partner. Provide feedback to them about their writing. 

Look for the following:

 

The ideas are clearly stated, and there are enough of them. 

The purpose of the piece is clear. I can easily identify the thesis statement

The message is clear for the intended audience. 

Each body paragraph has a clear topic sentence that is related to the thesis of the essay. 

Each body paragraph has supporting details that are relevant and logical. 

Each body paragraph transitions smoothly to the next. 

The words used are appropriate and clear. 

The language level is appropriate for the subject and audience. 

The sentences flow, moving logically from one to the next.

The essay has been proofread for spelling,
