Assignment Description:
Choose any of the stories covered in the first part of this unit.
- Reading 1 - I Struggled to Read
- Reading 2 - Shark Attack Survivor
- Reading 3 - Kim Yuna
- Reading 4 - Malala Yousafzai
- Reading 5 - Terry Fox ( Test)
You will record a 3-5 minute video, discussing the following.
Part 1
- Who is the story about?
- What issue or difficulty does this person have?
- What strategies did the person use to overcome this difficulty?
- What are two adjectives that can be used to describe this person?
- Why do you think these words are appropriate for this person?
- What is one achievement that this person has made?
- What lesson can you learn from this person’s story?
- How can you use these lessons in your own life?
- Why did you choose this story over the others?
Part 2
- How many times did you read this story before you understood it properly?
- What resources or techniques did you use to help you understand the story?
- Before reading this story, did you know anything about this topic?
- What do you do when you don’t know how to the meaning of a word in a story?
You may include pictures or a ppt in your presentation, but it is not required.
