Instructions: Now that you have finished reading the text, use the following strategies to ensure that you fully understand what the writer has presented to you :

- What is the most important thing that I remember?
- What words and features ( pictures, charts, subheadings) helped me to understand this text?
- What is the purpose of this text? ( Why was it written?)
- What does the writer mean by____________________? ( choose something from the reading that you don't fully understand. Try to think of the answer or ask a classmate what they think).
