Reading Comprehension George Orwell

Before you begin reading a new novel, it is a good idea to learn about its author, as you can learn many things that help you understand their novel.  For example, knowing when and where a writer lived may help you understand the kinds of characters that they use in their writing. Similarly, knowing about their job and life experiences can help you to understand things that they care about, which may inform the theme of the novel. 


Read about the life and experiences of George Orwell, whose real name was Eric Blair, the writer of the novel “Animal Farm”.
