The Regions of Canada Jigsaw Activity
You and a partner will be assigned a region of Canada to read about. Download the correct Information Texts for the provinces and territories in your region. Read and discuss the information before answering the questions at the end of each text.
Think about how you would describe the entire regin as well as the individual provinces.
As yourself the following questions:;
What part of the country is the region found?
What is the population?
What is the landscape like?
What is the weather like?
What kinds of animals and crops are found there?
What is the main economic activity?
What Indigenous groups and activities are found in this region?
What interesting people and places are located in this region?
How is this region similar to or different from other parts of canada?
Work together to prepare a presentation about your region. Choose at least 7 important facts about the region.
You should mention facts about each province and territory, but also talk about what they have in common.
Create a simple powerpoint to accompany your presentation. Be sure to use your own words to explain what you have learned.
