1. Yes, I think giving up personal freedom for safety is a reasonable tradeoff, especially if you are in a life-dangering situation because your life is more important than anything.
2. I think groups that might be affected are certain race groups because the police have more power now, and if they do not believe you are safe, you might get shot. The way you act will be much different when you come by a police.
