Because it protects citizens from discrimination and gives them the freedom of speech and it impacts the depend of the law.

Yes, I do think giving up personal freedom for safety is a good tradeoff. Because with security, there is space for thinking to show off true human rights, and only when security is ensured can there be real freedom.
These policies have an impact on the people who take revenge on the world, because it reduces the space for them to commit crimes.
