I think there are two main reasons why it is useful to understand people‘s personality: 1. You know their objective advantages and disadvantages 2. You know how to synergy with them.

Dominance :This type of individual usually has strong self-confidence and control, clear goals, result-oriented, quick action, and likes challenges and competition. They are usually described as "born leaders" and can play a leading role in the team.
Influence :This type of individual is outgoing, emotional ups and downs, good at socializing, likes new things, and usually has strong infectious and persuasiveness. They are good at mobilizing the atmosphere and can quickly connect with others.
