1. Orpheus was famous because he played music that was very beautiful. People, animals, and even trees would listen to him. On his wedding day, something very sad happened. His wife, Eurydice, stepped on a snake, and the snake bit her. She died, and Orpheus felt very, very sad.
2. Orpheus went to the underworld to ask for his wife back. Hades and Persephone felt sorry for him. They made a deal: Orpheus could bring Eurydice back to life if he walked in front of her and did not turn his head to look at her until they both reached the world above.
3. At the end, Orpheus got too worried and turned his head before they reached the top. The moment he looked back, Eurydice disappeared forever, and he lost her again. The message of the story is that we need to have patience and trust, because if we are not patient, we might lose something very important.
4. One time I was impatient when I was doing my homework. I wanted to finish fast, so I wrote the answers quickly. Because I rushed, I made mistakes and my teacher gave me a lower mark. I learned that if I take my time, I can do better and feel proud of my work.
5. My strongest skill is problem-solving. This means I can think of ways to fix problems or find answers. I enjoy this skill because it makes me happy when I solve something hard. I can get better at this skill by practicing more, asking questions when I don’t understand, and learning from my mistakes.
