Sociology is a scientific discipline that studies human social relations, social systems, and the structure and process of shaping group behavior (from small communities to global society). Unlike psychology that focuses on individual psychology, the core of sociology is to explore how social forces such as class, race, gender and culture affect people's lives, beliefs and behaviors. Sociologists are committed to answering questions such as the laws of social operation, the causes of social inequality and the driving force of social change. In order to carry out research, they comprehensively use quantitative research methods (such as questionnaires, statistical analysis and demographic research, which are used to quantify and measure social trends) and qualitative research methods.
